    Companies free to decide on ceo pay

    Hello Friend,
    Today Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that now goverment is not in favour of any move to restrict remuneration of CEOs, saying it was best left to the boards of companies to decide on CEO salaries. Do you think it is a sign that India is overcoming recession ?

    Hi friend,
    You have provided a good knowledge. As you have say that Indian government are not in favour to decide the payment of CEOs, it is not a good for India.

    There should be a autority which controls the payments of CEOs and other important persons of a company.

    If this will not happen, certainly it gives the bad message to the people applied at lower posts in a company ot to the Indian people.

    For private companies as owner of company is more responsible for company future. This was good decision taken be Govt. Moreover if CEO deserves this salary then company is also using his talent for growth.
