Bangalore metro

hello friends.

do u people think the metro is going to reduce the traffic when it starts operational.

the metro ie the entire north-south corridor and east-west corridor is going to be fully operational only from 2014 or so. ( i may be wrong in the year assuming that happens on that year). by seeing the growth of bangalore from past 10 years we can predict that bangalore will grow beyond devanahalli in north , nelamangala in west and hosakote toward east and kanakapura in south. so the present route will be catering only to a small portion of bangalore.

Hi Venu,

Yes, looking at today traffic havoc that we have in Bangalore, Metro will give immense boost to the Bangalore and also reduce the traffic.

However, the most important is the connectivity that they are going to provide between the areas. If they are not connecting the major hubs or areas which there is traffic congestion. Then it will be of no use.

So we need to wait and watch.

You have posted a nice information.

Certainly, Metro will help to reduce the traffic problems. Day by day, traffic increases on the road and people are fed of it.

We should also maintain the traffic rules on the road. Most of the traffic problems come arise due to the violation of traffic rules. If this problem get solved, there must be an reduction in traffic on the road.

Hi Venugopal,

It is true that metro is creating a lot of traffic problems now a days. The roads are getting widened by destroying some of the shops in the sidesof the road. The road which could be reached in 15 minutes now due to Metro takes more than 45 minutes. This creates massive problems to the people.
