Is the bus fare hike justified

Hi,
With the recent hike in diesal prices, the bmtc have increased the fares, putting the onus on the common man to choke up further. Instead of increasing the fare, can't they not reduce their share in the profit margin? We should protest, else this will contiune. What better services are they giving us in return? We find the seats are torn, the bus is not clean, the window and the panes are so dirty and i am sure these buses can also be mobile carriers of diseases - such unhygenic conditions.

We should protest and i am sure the voice of the common masses can bring down the price hike.- let me be reasonable hike, but should not be so steep hike that it becomes a burden to the common man/commuter.
