Why does the Government not want to change Policies?

The Government recent policies reflect their attitude not to change any major policies which would ruin their existing activities. It clearly states that they adminstrate for themselves rather for the people. Only in elections people participate after which people are mere spectators. Corruption is rooted and routed towards the betterment of politicians / bureaucracy.

If fasting unto death is threatening government then threatening to resign or resigning for a cause should also be considered in the same category because it also forces the government to react. Resignation by all telegana's people representative is a strong act against the government weak policy. They were promised that a new state would be formed but like always the congress government has been hobbling around when it comes to action.

Looking at the reaction of the central government it has handled both the civil society and Telegana issue the same way, using high handedness, reluctant to change existing policies and only talk no action policy.

India might not be heading to a path taken in Egypt but there definitely is some antipathy mounting among the people against the politicians. Where does this lead and widen only time can tell us. The government approach to both these issues does not reflect the correct approach which has to taken. But the situation does throw light how the government does not want the change.

The lokpal if commissioned would start a battle between politicians, bureaucracy and lokpal / People. I doubt if it would exterminate corruption, but I believe that this would be a first stride towards abolishing corruption from our nation. Today we are all tuned into the world of corruption, the largest section of the society the middle class can spare those extras to get the job done we do not mind doing it and do not consider that many people who cannot afford the same would have to struggle thus developing a practice which would lead to problems for fellow citizen.

If corruption has to be plucked from its roots then a strong anticorruption law should come into existence. If people can recall their representative, then I wonder how many MP's and MLA would complete 5 years term. Currently I speculate how many MP's and MLA visits their constituency and listen to their peoples concerns/issues.

After 63 years of independence we are heading towards a change in political scenario, which should have happened several years back. Just reflects our laid back attitude towards politicians and politics. Hopefully we the people of India start making our decisions instead leave it to a Rich politician.

Corruption in other countries - You pay the government employees to do extra bit for you.

Corruption in India - Government pays to come to office, but to work you have to bribe them.
