It is one of the places where most of the cricket tests have been conducted. This is near Kasturba Road which will have heavy traffic during such times. Even interschool cricket coachings and test matches are also done here.

Floods in Karnataka - Donation Facillity

It is a pity to see the people of Andhrapradesh to have faced such a calamity. There were several places in Bangalore where the representatives for Calamity Relief Fund were reaching even the common people to donate for the suffered people.

It is a noble cause which we have to spend on.

It is a lesson to other members

It is not always right that the people choose the right leader. It is only the influences of the leader on them which motivates them to vote for them. This is only till the election times. After the elections, the leaders does not seem to show more interest on the people and address their grievenances.

BIA could soon be Kempegowda International Airport

Earlier too the city was named as Bangalore and later changed to Bengaluru. The name of the International Airport was also coined as Bengaluru International Airport. So I think the day is not far off to see such change in the name of the Airport.

It is true that two wheelers have become more and the morning traffics prooves it. I sometimes feel that the rate of two wheelers are increasing rapidly as we see more two whellers than 4 wheelers. It is also true that many thefts of these vehicles have become common in recent days.

History of Bengaluru
Hi,

The information on History of Bangalore is very informative. Other than this there is also another information from where the word "Bengaluru" evolved from. There is a story which says that Kempegowda had been on visits in his teritory to know about his people and he felt thirsty. Hence he went to an old women's hut and asked her for some water. She offered him some water and some boiled grains. The boiled grains are called as "Benda kalu". Hence he kept the name to Bangalore as "Benda Kaluru".
This is one more information on Bangalore which every Bangalorian must know.

Facts of Bangalore
Hi,

The geographical features are very informative and I have seen that there are other languages other than Kannada, Tamil, Telugu & Hindi which, a Bangalorean is able to understand and communicate easily. It is not unlike other states where the importance is given only to their regional language.

According to me this is a place where we can find mixed language people who can understand and communicate if ease other languages other than their mother tongue.
